Vista Unidentified network Problem It is a bug in Vista. Vista does not preset a MAC address for the network card. As a result the network card identifies itself as: 00-00-00-00-00-00 this causes problems with any standard equipment. To fix this go to: Device Manger and view driver details for the network card. My PC (Vista Ultimate x64 SP1) went into standby mode, and upon awakening my network settings were shot. I've only got "unidentified netorks" left, where there used to be a "home", a "Hamachi" and some unidentified networks belonging to VMware workstation.
