I can ping but I cannot browse. Ping times seem to be ok, they are in the 65 ms range. I am pinging google.com. Other computers on the network and smart TV work ok. Before I started attempting to troubleshoot this issue it was an intermittent thing. Oct 15, 2015 · When I check my router settings, I can see an IP address assigned to it. When I ping the IP address, I get replies. If I type the IP address in my browser, I get no response - times out. No matter what I do, I can’t get ANY computer on my network to access the drive. Everything was working with my old DNS server but something with the setting on the new BIND9 server must be wrong and I cannot figure out what. Nov 19, 2013 · I can get in through the console and I configured the IP address. Now I can ping to the device and I can ping from it. However, I can't access it via telnet, ssh, http, https. This is all within the same telnet so there's no firewall between me and the card. From my workstation, I can access other AP96xx cards on the network, no problem.

ICMP requests (ping) are rather small. If there's intermittent connectivity, the ping command won't likely find it unless you execute ping 8.8.8.8 -t to ping indefinitely until you stop it. It may also be helpful to checking your LAN cables to make sure that they aren't wrapped around any power cables.

Aug 29, 2003 · Thanks lunardreamr. I can now ping and browse with Mozilla. But now I have a peculiar problem. Some websites like Google and Google news load fast but others like Yahoo take a long time - about 10 minutes. Via the Windows box all sites load pretty fast. When I ping Yahoo from both boxes; the average time is roughly the same about 100ms.
